Drip

Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

Drip doesn't collect any data. There is no account, no ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs and no tracking. The developer runs no servers.

Data on your iPhone

Your ledger (entries, accounts, categories and templates) is stored on your iPhone. It is protected by iOS Data Protection, which keeps it encrypted until the first unlock after a restart.

iCloud Sync

iCloud Sync is optional and off by default. When it is on, your data syncs through your own private iCloud database (CloudKit). The developer cannot access it. App preferences such as theme, app icon, display currency and reminder settings sync through iCloud key-value storage.

Face ID and Touch ID

The optional app lock is handled entirely by iOS. The app never receives biometric data.

Notifications and widgets

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read the data on your device. A setting hides amounts in widgets.

Exporting your data

You can export all entries as a CSV file in Settings › Privacy & Sync › Export Data. The file is shared through the iOS share sheet. What happens to it afterwards is up to you.

Crash reports

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide the developer with anonymous crash and performance reports.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the data on your device. Data synced to iCloud can be removed from iCloud storage settings on your device (Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Storage).

Children

Drip is not directed at children. No data is collected from anyone.
